This event is organized by the Methane Emissions Observatory for Latin America and the Caribbean (OEMLAC), an initiative of the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), in collaboration with regional and international partner organizations.

The Summit provides a multi-stakeholder platform bringing together governments, international organizations, the private sector, civil society and academia to address the challenges and opportunities associated with reducing methane emissions in the region’s energy sector.

The IV Regional Summit of Methane, to be held in 2027, will take place at a time when the global methane agenda is gaining increasing prominence and new regulatory and market requirements are reshaping the energy sector.

Building on the interest generated by previous editions—with more than 220 in-person participants and over 600 online views—the upcoming Summit is expected to further strengthen this regional dialogue platform, led by the Methane Emissions Observatory for Latin America and the Caribbean (OEMLAC) of the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE), together with international partners.
