
Gastón Siroit is the current director of the Latin American and Caribbean Methane Emissions Observatory (OEMLAC). He has nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, in planning, projects, and operations for major international groups in Latin America, Africa, and Europe.
He was Director of Resources and Technology at the Argentine Energy Secretariat and a consultant on extractive industries for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), working on agendas related to mining development, gender equality, and regulatory compliance. An industrial engineer from ITBA, he holds a master's degree in Industrial Management and Logistics from the École des Mines de Paris and has studied mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and specialized in oil logistics.
