
Leonardo Tamayo is the Upstream Group Coordinator at the Hydrocarbons Directorate of the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy, where he leads strategic initiatives for the development of public policies in hydrocarbon exploration and production. He has nearly 12 years of experience in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sector, in both the public and private sectors, as well as in regulation, reservoir engineering, and E&P contracts. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Professional Council of Petroleum Engineering (CPIP). He holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Mining and Energy Law from Externado University of Colombia and a Master's degree in Project Formulation and Management from the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito.
